Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to oversee and coordinate all operational compliance issues for our region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Western jurisdictions and be able to provide recommendations to branch management concerning compliance and regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor compliance with state regulations regarding timely reporting and handling of required claims transactions.
  • Assist with or prepare required periodic reporting to governmental or accreditation entities.
  • Review and approve all branch responses to governmental or accreditation entities.
  • Attend and participate in professional and/or industry association meetings, seminars, and continuing education programs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all State Insurance Department, State Workers Compensation, or State Departments of Labor laws and regulations.
  • Conduct periodic compliance reviews/audits of branch offices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, insurance, or pre-law, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years related work experience in a property and casualty insurance company or a claims-related environment.
  • Proven knowledge of insurance concepts, principles, and practices, as well as application of laws and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze insurance laws and regulations to ensure compliance with same.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to devise and recommend solutions to compliance problems.
  • Ability to function in a team or project environment.
