Job Title: Bilingual Mental Health Therapist

At Options Counseling and Family Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide individual and family therapy to children and their families in an office setting, as well as in schools and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct mental health assessments for children and adults, including DSM-V diagnosis
  • Provide therapy and case management services in the office, schools, communities, or in the client's home
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, defining specific goals and objectives, and revise as needed
  • Maintain accurate and current client records, including timely Service Plans, authorization requests, and service notes within the electronic client record (ECR)
  • Coordinate access and provision of services from multiple agencies, including establishing service linkages, advocating for service needs, and obtaining entitlements based on mental or emotional disability
Requirements:
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish (applicants will have to pass a Spanish language assessment)
  • Masters or doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
  • Must be able to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and be eligible for licensure
  • Knowledge and/or experience providing mental health services, including assessment and diagnosis, to children and families
  • Ability to incorporate child-based therapies into treatment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of parenting skills/techniques and child development, and experience working with disadvantaged individuals and high-risk families
  • Experience in play therapy, sand tray, and other child-based therapies
  • Strong understanding of available community resources and supports
