Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our insurance division, you will be responsible for managing an assigned block of Employee Benefits business in the Branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pre-renewal, renewal, and marketing reports to analyze and optimize our clients' benefits packages.
  • Compare health plan benefits and costs to ensure our clients receive the best value for their money.
  • Calculate employee contributions and develop strategies to meet clients' budgetary requirements.
  • Prepare annual client service plans to ensure seamless delivery of our services.
  • Conduct annual open enrollment meetings, health fairs, and webinars to educate clients on their benefits options.
  • Collect new client information for HIB technology offerings to enhance our services.
  • Author correspondence, communication materials, and compliance notices as required.
  • Negotiate rates and benefits with carriers to secure the best deals for our clients.
  • Audit client information, premium, and commission splits in the HIB Agency Management System (Zywave) to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to assist the Producer in organizing and meeting deadlines to deliver high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to create reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits/health plan implementation and administration to provide expert guidance to clients.
  • Knowledge of regulatory issues such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and various state and federal regulations specific to health insurance.
  • Ability to negotiate rates and benefits with carriers to secure the best deals for our clients.
  • High School Graduate/College Degree preferred, with two or more years of experience in group health insurance or benefit brokerage/consulting.
  • Life and Disability license required to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
