Per Diem Anesthesia Technician Float Pool Position

We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our Float Pool team at the University of California, Irvine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide critical support to our anesthesiologists and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Assist anesthesiologists with patient monitoring lines and intubations, as well as other invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Maintain, order, and stock anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-maintained, calibrated, and available for use.
- Collaborate with Anesthesia, OR Manager, and Biomedical Engineering to ensure all equipment and supplies are within expiration dates and meet required standards.
- Ability to float between Orange and Irvine locations as needed.
- Basic mathematical skills and strong organizational abilities.
- Capacity to work quickly and accurately under pressure, with a strong attention to detail.
- Availability to rotate shifts, take call, and work weekends.
- Ability to speak, read, and follow directions in English.
- Knowledge of medical computer software systems.
- Completion of an anesthesia program from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and principles of anesthesia technology.
