Per Diem Anesthesia Technician Float Position

UCI Health is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team in a float pool position. This role will provide support to anesthesiologists in various locations, including Irvine and Orange.
Responsibilities- Assist anesthesiologists with patient monitoring lines and intubations
- Maintain, order, and stock anesthesia supplies and equipment
- Perform first-line equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting
- Work closely with anesthesia, OR Manager, and Biomedical engineering to ensure equipment and supplies are available, well-maintained, and clean
- Ability to float between Irvine and Orange locations as needed
- Basic mathematical skills to accurately perform calculations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Availability to rotate shifts, take call, and work weekends
- Ability to speak, read, and follow directions in English
- Knowledge of medical computer software systems
- Completion of an anesthesia program from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and principles of anesthesia technology
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Certified Anesthesia Technician (CAT) certification (preferred)
- Background check and live scan
- Legal right to work in the United States
