Job Overview

Objective

The primary goal of the Commercial Package Policy New Business Coordinator is to deliver system and product assistance to agents and their teams when establishing new commercial accounts within the Commercial Package Policy (CPP) framework. This role involves providing outstanding customer service, fostering relationships, and facilitating communication between agencies and underwriting to support the initiation and maintenance of accounts. Additionally, the coordinator will offer technical support on Guidewire systems tailored to the needs of agents and clients.



Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The coordinator will serve as a reliable resource for agents and their teams by:

  • Maintaining an extensive understanding of commercial systems and products.
  • Responding to inquiries from agents regarding new commercial business and system-related questions.
  • Guiding agents in best practices for workflow management related to commercial accounts.
  • Assisting agents in navigating the commercial systems, including guidance on coverages, endorsements, classifications, and underwriting requirements.
  • Providing agents with checklists, supplements, and resources pertinent to commercial products and systems.
  • Clarifying expectations for information required to submit accounts.
  • Helping agents troubleshoot common system issues.
  • Identifying and addressing system-generated errors that require underwriting intervention.
  • Recognizing risks that necessitate underwriting evaluation due to quoting and binding authority limitations.
  • Reviewing quoted accounts for accuracy and potential system issues.
  • Supporting agents during the binding process for commercial cases.
  • Assisting the Commercial Sales Account Coordinator team with additional tasks as needed.
  • Acting as a resource for the Field Marketing and Sales Team regarding commercial products and systems.
  • Staying informed about updates to commercial data systems and product changes, while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Contributing to company projects related to Guidewire systems as requested.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience may be considered.


Three to five years of experience in commercial insurance sales or support is required.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.

Keyboarding skills of 60 wpm with accuracy are required.

An active property/casualty license is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Agency Management Systems is preferred.


Certifications such as CIC, CISR, AINS, or AU are advantageous.
