The Outside Plant Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and directing all active construction initiatives within the organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise ongoing construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times.
  • Develop work schedules based on employee availability and weather conditions to optimize project timelines.
  • Source necessary materials for repairs and ensure timely delivery to prevent project delays.
  • Coordinate daily activities according to established priorities, adjusting plans as needed due to external factors.
  • Delegate specific tasks and responsibilities to team members and contractors effectively.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to both employees and contractors to enhance team performance.
  • Ensure adequate resources and staffing are available to meet project timelines, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Promote the safe operation of tools and equipment, providing training on safety gear and procedures.
  • Develop and manage project budgets while maintaining quality standards across all sites.
  • Address and resolve conflicts or miscommunications promptly and amicably.
  • Coordinate with various divisions of Outside Plant operations, including splicing, aerial, underground, and drop.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory role within construction or outside plant operations.
  • Valid Driver's License is mandatory.
  • Ability to oversee all site operations while ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, equipment, and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective time-management skills and the capacity to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction industry.
