Key Responsibilities
  • Assign tasks to machine operators and ensure they are completed to specifications
  • Operate machinery to meet quality and efficiency standards
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
  • Meet and exceed metric targets, including productivity and quality metrics
Training and Development
  • Deliver training and coaching to machine operators to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs
  • Provide guidance and support to help operators improve their performance and address any issues that may arise
Issue Escalation
  • Notify supervisors and leadership promptly when issues arise, such as equipment malfunctions or quality control issues
  • Maintain a working knowledge of chemical inventory levels and escalate to supervisors or plant managers when levels are low
Attitude and Attendance
  • Arrive on time and follow time-off request procedures
  • Communicate professionally with coworkers and treat them with respect
  • Escalate attitude issues to supervisors and leadership
General Responsibilities
  • Follow facility GMPs and enforce them throughout the facility
  • Support the company's food safety system and quality programs
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including safe machine handling and lockout/tagout
Requirements
  • Basic math skills
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or production experience
  • 3+ years of lead experience
  • Technical abilities
