Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at National Vision. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our stores, including personnel management and inventory control. You will be the key to providing a positive experience for our customers and ensuring that our associates are happy and motivated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and Achieve Profit, Sales, and Performance Goals: Review the profit and loss statement to ensure that our store is meeting its financial targets.
  • Optimize and Oversee the Eyeglass Department: Ensure that our eyeglass department is running efficiently and effectively, and that all associates are following company policies and procedures.
  • Provide Outstanding Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive a positive experience from start to finish, and that all associates are providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure Quality Standards are Met: Review remakes and enforce policies to ensure that quality standards are met.
  • Communicate with Management and Corporate Office: Communicate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office to provide store reporting and to ensure that all necessary information is shared.
  • Supervise and Motivate Associates: Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates to ensure that they are meeting their performance goals.
  • Assist with Forecasting Staffing Needs: Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining a high-caliber staff.

Qualifications:

  • Optical Sales Experience: Must have experience in optical sales, preferably with supervisory experience.
  • Leadership and Coaching Skills: Must have proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively manage teams.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Must have exceptional customer service skills to provide a positive experience for our customers.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Must have strong organizational skills to plan work and continuously monitor progress towards goals.
  • Ability to Analyze Financial Reports: Must have the ability to analyze and understand financial reports.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Must have demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
