Position Summary

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a Quality Assurance Test Specialist at Austco Healthcare, located in Irving, TX.

The Quality Assurance Test Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring product designs meet internal quality benchmarks and adhere to regulatory standards. This position will collaborate closely with the systems engineering team to fulfill project objectives related to product development, testing, and delivery, maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement verification and validation strategies, including the execution of test plans and protocols.
  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including web, desktop, and server-based systems.
  • Utilize automation tools to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Report on testing progress, identify issues, and manage deviations from expected outcomes.


Essential Qualifications

(Required Skills)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing within a regulated environment, focusing on both manual and automated methodologies.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Proficient in creating comprehensive test cases aligned with established quality assurance practices.
  • Experience in testing web applications, desktop applications, and server applications.
  • Strong knowledge of testing Web APIs and RESTful services.
  • Familiarity with SQL for backend database testing.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools.
  • Testing experience on mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
  • Solid understanding of networking principles (Routing, DNS, IP, etc.).
  • Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker, VMWare ESXi, etc.).
  • Proficient in Linux and shell scripting.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

(Preferred Skills)

  • Experience in developing automated test frameworks.
  • Familiarity with popular test automation tools (e.g., Ranorex, Selenium).

(Additional Skills)

  • Experience with high-availability server solutions.
  • Knowledge of IP technologies, VoIP, and web protocols (HTTP, HTTPS).
  • Understanding of LDAP services, SMTP, and SNMP.
  • Experience in performance and load testing for various applications.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Knowledge of healthcare communication systems.
