Role Summary:

We are seeking enthusiastic entry-level engineers who are dedicated to energy efficiency and possess the technical skills necessary to implement energy-saving initiatives across various building types. In this role, you will leverage your enthusiasm to assist property owners, utilities, consultants, and partners in conserving energy and decreasing utility expenses. Effective communication with clients and customers is crucial. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Collecting building information through visual assessments, discussions with clients/operators, photography, and data logging.
  • Conducting energy assessments, building evaluations, and analyzing essential data to prepare reports that identify potential energy savings for clients.
  • Reviewing customized energy calculations.
  • Performing tailored energy analyses for diverse commercial and industrial systems, including HVAC, chilled water, industrial refrigeration, and compressed air.
  • Measuring and verifying energy savings, along with data analysis and reporting.
  • Engaging with clients and third parties to gather necessary information for project completion, which includes meetings, presentations, and both technical and non-technical writing.

Your Contributions:

Within the first three months, you will have:

  • Acquired knowledge of company processes and protocols.
  • Completed several customized energy analyses.
  • Conducted at least one site visit.

By the six-month mark, you will have:

  • Developed a comprehensive understanding of program designs and guidelines.
  • Independently conducted multiple site visits.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Architectural, or Energy Engineering.
  • Strong academic foundation in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and analytical abilities.
  • A genuine passion for energy conservation.
  • Willingness to travel nationally up to 50% for client site visits and occasional trips to the corporate office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Energy Engineering.
  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certification.
  • Experience in Data Analysis.

Work Environment:

Locations include Chicago, Denver, or Richmond. Employees have the flexibility to work in-office, remotely, or in a hybrid arrangement.
