Job Title: Senior Accounting Supervisor

Wegner CPAs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our accounting services group, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service and leading a team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all client operational accounting functions.
  • Conduct monthly remote client meetings to discuss financial analysis and strategic planning.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial reports prepared by the outsourced accountant.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and their other professional service providers.
  • Manage client cash flow and initiate payments for approved bills.
  • Attend and present at client finance committee and board meetings.
  • Maintain oversight of client engagement teams.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive sets of controls to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of client financial results.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, tax planning, and compliance.
  • Manage unexpected and urgent firm or client matters as they arise.
  • Assume a leadership role by mentoring and supervising staff, providing critical feedback, and helping to develop their skills.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in a mid-level finance or accounting position.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience in public accounting a plus.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
