Overview

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Substation Engineer - P&C to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-voltage substation projects for utility systems and renewable energy interconnection projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, potential and current schematics, control schematics, alarm schematics, and communications schematics for high-voltage substation projects.
  • Design and develop protection and control specifications, I/O mapping, and points mapping for substation projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure project milestones and expectations are met.
  • Work with a P&C Designer to develop schematics and wiring diagrams for substation projects.
  • Coordinate efforts with other design disciplines, such as transmission line engineers, distribution line engineers, and telecom engineers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized accredited program.
  • EIT Certification.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience in high-voltage substation design P&C.
  • Proficient in use of AutoCAD or Bentley Microstation.
  • Strong familiarity with the NEC and National Electrical Safety Code.
  • Good knowledge of industry and technology trends specific to substations.
