Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic approach to faculty recruiting, onboarding, and retention, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with Faculty Affairs, colleges, schools, and departments to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to diversity and inclusion.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of a model Equal Employment Opportunity program, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking to identify best practices and evaluate processes and procedures to ensure continued efficiency and innovation.
  • Design and deliver learning experiences, presentations, and workshops to promote inclusive excellence and address potential barriers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least seven years of professional experience in equal employment opportunity or related fields, with progressively more responsibility and oversight.
  • Experience managing, directing, and evaluating the work of others.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to equity and diversity and employee relations.
  • Ability to effectively collect, analyze, evaluate, and prepare statistical data.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with individuals from all levels of staff, faculty, students, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Terminal, Doctorate or JD degree.
  • Experience in higher education, preferably as faculty or faculty adjacent.
  • Experience related to recruiting, hiring, evaluating, and retention efforts.
