Job Title: Insurance Verification Coordinator

At Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Insurance Verification Coordinator to join our team. As an Insurance Verification Coordinator, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance and investigating any missing information that prohibits verification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient insurance and investigate any missing information that prohibits verification
  • Work with third-party insurance verification vendors to ensure timely verification
  • Serve as liaison between insurance providers, staff, and patients regarding eligibility, payments, approvals, etc.
  • Communicate with patients to help them understand the cost associated with treatment
  • Update and maintain patient insurance information within OMSVision
  • Adhere to deadlines and prioritize work against the patient schedule
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates degree or vocational school training preferred
  • At least one year of relevant experience required
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of medical and dental terminology
  • Knowledge of medical and dental insurance benefits
  • Knowledge of medical and dental coding
  • Experience with Dental Practice Management Software
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
