Job Summary:

The Laboratory Services Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the Laboratory Services Department. Reporting to the Director of Laboratory Services, this position is responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of excellence within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth workflow and effective resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across various departments to enhance communication and operational effectiveness.
  • Cultivate a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff members.
  • Resolve operational issues and support staff in addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to quality control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership in strategic planning, budget evaluation, and development.
  • Oversee staffing schedules to meet operational needs and productivity goals.
  • Lead and participate in departmental projects aimed at process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Act as a liaison between Laboratory Services and other departments to optimize patient care and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of five years in a fast-paced healthcare or business environment is required, with previous leadership experience in a laboratory setting preferred. Experience in process management, LEAN development, budget oversight, and project management is advantageous.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • License/Certification: Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) is strongly preferred.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience. The Staff Pad offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
