Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Services Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Laboratory Services Department. This key role will play a crucial part in maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of excellence within the department.

This is a dynamic opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead and manage a high-performing team, drive process improvements, and contribute to organizational goals.

About the Role
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory Services Department, ensuring smooth workflow and effective utilization of resources.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across various departments to enhance communication and operational effectiveness.
  • Cultivate a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement among staff members.
  • Resolve operational issues and support staff in addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to quality control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with leadership in strategic planning, budget evaluation, and development.
  • Oversee staffing schedules to meet operational needs and productivity goals.
  • Lead and participate in departmental projects aimed at process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Act as a liaison between Laboratory Services and other departments to optimize patient care and service delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: A minimum of five years in a fast-paced healthcare or business environment required, with previous leadership experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • License/Certification: Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) strongly preferred.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in regulatory compliance and quality assurance practices.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making skills to contribute to organizational goals.

Estimated Salary: $83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
