Job Overview

Position: Service Technician

Compensation: $30-40/hr + Possible Bonus (Market Dependent)

Work Schedule:

  • Standard Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Subject to Market Variations)
  • On-Call Rotation: Every 3-4 Weeks
  • Occasional Overnight Travel: May Be Necessary Based on Market Needs

Job Location: Must be within 40 miles of the assigned market area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Solutions: Partner with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide comprehensive service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and specialty food service equipment.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Apply mechanical skills and troubleshooting expertise to accurately diagnose and repair commercial kitchen equipment, including cooking, refrigeration, and ware-washing systems.
  • Technical Consultation: Engage with manufacturers for diagnosis and parts identification, and consult with the Technical Assistance Group for on-site support.
  • Installation: Efficiently install parts ordered for customers, adhering to company standards.
  • Service Promotion: Recommend additional services offered by the company to customers when appropriate.
  • Administrative Duties: Generate accurate and timely administrative documents, including work orders, time reporting, receipts, and inventory management.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols. Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle, along with precise parts and tool inventory.
  • Productivity: Uphold productivity levels in line with company expectations.

The ideal candidate for the Service Technician position should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Commercial Refrigeration: Proficiency with Walk-In Coolers/Freezers, Reach-In Coolers/Freezers, Ice Machines, Parallel Rack Systems, etc.
  • Commercial Kitchen Repair: Expertise in servicing Gas Ovens, Fryers, Boilers, Dish Machines, etc.
  • Combination of Both: Preferred for a broader skill set.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Universal EPA License is mandatory unless the candidate has substantial experience in Commercial Kitchen Repair.
Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in one or more of the following fields: Refrigeration, Appliance Repair, Kitchen Equipment, Commercial HVAC, or relevant Military Service.
