Cloud Operations Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the largest software systems humanity has ever built.
Key Responsibilities- Balance day-to-day operations of AWS' software systems with long-term software engineering to reduce operational toil.
- Design and architect new and existing systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline infrastructure deployment and management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- 3+ years of experience in administrative roles, with a focus on networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
- 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a strong understanding of design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with modern languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- Experience with automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure, including Linux/Unix.
- 6+ years of experience in administrative roles, with a focus on networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
- Experience operating 24x7 high-availability, distributed software applications, and performance tuning software applications.
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, and load shedding.
- Experience with monitoring frameworks, such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, or Elastic.
