About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Step-Down Unit at Bridgton Hospital. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients requiring step-down services. This includes monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide direct patient care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations
  2. Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  3. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
  4. Monitor patient outcomes and make adjustments to care plans as needed
  5. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • A current RN license and relevant experience in a step-down or similar setting
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
