Nurse Care Coordinator

TotalMed is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Bridgton, Maine. As a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care.
Compensation: $20,730 per 13-week assignment (approximately $2,070.36 per week)
About the RoleThis challenging and rewarding position requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to assess, monitor, and treat patients in the step-down unit. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring optimal outcomes for patients recovering from intensive care.
- Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current RN license.
- BLS certification.
- At least two years of recent experience in a Step Down Unit setting.
- Strong communication and adaptability skills.
