Job Overview

Bridgton Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Professional to join their team in providing exceptional care to patients with complex needs.

About the Role

This 13-week opportunity will see you working as a Registered Nurse in the Step Down unit, where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the medical team in managing patient conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
  • Handling multi-system organ failure
  • Administering IV insulin protocols
  • Accessing ports and administering blood products
  • Managing central lines and PICC lines
  • Starting IVs and continuous IV sedation
  • Titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
  • Assisting with management of BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
  • Interpreting ABGs and ventilator management
  • Implementing infection prevention and isolation precautions using PPE
  • Performing phlebotomy and caring for surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Pending licenses accepted for submission but must be active by start date
  • Current certifications in ACLS and BCLS
  • Familiarity with Cerner and previous charge experience an advantage

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, making quick decisions and prioritizing tasks to ensure excellent patient outcomes. You will also be required to wear Navy blue scrubs and undergo a required fit test prior to being onsite.

Estimated Salary: $2204.0 per week
