Position Overview:

As a Field Operations Coordinator, you will collaborate with the Area Site Manager and engage with Avantor's Lab and Production Services teams to deliver tailored, mission-driven laboratory tasks and research protocols that enhance scientific productivity.

Work Schedule: 8am - 4pm (Monday - Friday)

Compensation: Salary Range: $75K - $90K (plus 5% annual Incentive Compensation Plan Bonus) (includes mileage, parking, and toll reimbursement)

Travel Requirements: Less than 10%

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in business or a science-related field is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in customer service, procurement, or account management is required. Previous experience in supervising team members is essential. Training in spill containment, IATA, DOT, IMDG, and Hazwoper is advantageous. Additional training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) is a plus.

Career Advancement: Potential for future management roles within Scientific Services.

Requirements: Must possess a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate team efforts to fulfill tasks outlined in Statements of Work (SOW) to meet client expectations.
  • Inspire and guide team members to achieve job objectives and exceed targets, promoting professional and team development through mentorship.
  • Oversee open order status reports, customer metrics, departmental reports, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and SOW.
  • Provide training, development, and support to team members for task execution.
  • Manage administrative responsibilities such as performance evaluations, succession planning, time card reviews, and vacation scheduling.
  • Develop and uphold SOPs, SOWs, Standard Performance Indicators (SPI), and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Act as a liaison between clients, Avantor services, and sales teams.
  • Ensure adherence to Good Practices (GxP) and maintain proper documentation standards.
  • Enhance customer value through industry-specific personal development.
  • Exhibit self-management, motivation, and proactive thinking.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and capable of making informed business decisions independently.
