The selected candidate will report directly to an Accounting Manager and will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring the team. The Fund Administration Team Leader will oversee the daily operations of pooled investment vehicles, ensuring that all activities are executed with precision and efficiency.

Core Duties Include:

  • Providing comprehensive support in the absence of a Fund Administration Analyst.
  • Leading training initiatives for new team members and fostering the development of existing staff.
  • Assisting the Accounting Manager in resolving intricate issues and challenges.
  • Managing special projects as they arise.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of Shareholder Reports.
  • Coordinating the audit process and addressing any audit-related concerns.
  • Reviewing tax documentation for funds and potential shareholders.
  • Evaluating fund distribution calculations.
  • Ensuring effective workflow within the team.
  • Filling in for the Manager during their absence.
  • Recommending and participating in enhancements to departmental processes.
  • Documenting procedures and facilitating process improvements.
  • Responding to client inquiries and requests.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the mutual fund or finance sector, along with a 4-year degree in a relevant business field, preferably accounting or finance.
  • Skills: Proficient knowledge of mutual fund accounting is essential. Candidates should be well-versed in tax regulations, SEC compliance, financial reporting, and spreadsheet applications. Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are crucial.
  • Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with standard desktop applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is expected. Knowledge of RIC reporting requirements and financial reporting experience is advantageous. Candidates with process management or improvement experience are preferred.

Compensation:

The base salary for this role ranges from $110,000 to $120,000, with actual salaries varying based on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors. This position also includes a comprehensive benefits package.
