Patient Care Technician

The Patient Care Technician/Health Unit Coordinator is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and record patient data, reporting information and observations to the nursing team in a timely manner.
- Obtain and record patient vital signs, height, weight, nutritional intake, and output, as well as perform blood glucose monitoring.
- Perform routine urinary catheter care and collect and transport specimens as requested.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and maintaining continence.
- Answer and respond to patient call lights and requests in a timely manner.
- Complete and maintain unit and patient records, files, and documents related to work area management and patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including records, files, forms, and reference documents.
- Check, update, and maintain facility boards, pneumatic tube system, and telemetry box reconciliation according to departmental policy and procedures.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Less than 1 Year of Experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
