Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

As a key member of the healthcare team, you will assist licensed nurses and medical staff in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and record patient data, vital signs, and assist with activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Answer call lights and complete patient rounds
  • Help with completing/maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharge
  • Take care of patient personal hygiene and assist with patient clean-up
  • Comply with Baylor Scott and White policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Compassion and empathy for patients and their families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
