Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to existing client inquiries, including billing, coverage concerns, and policy terminations.
  • Verify clients have appropriate insurance coverage by reviewing policies and endorsements for precision.
  • Manage new business inquiries, inform potential clients, and provide quotes for new and renewal policies.
  • Address bond-related matters and serve as the initial contact for new claims, including submitting loss reports to carriers.
  • Document, assess, and follow up on marketing efforts for new and renewal accounts.
  • Communicate with clients and carriers effectively and courteously via various channels.
  • Collect renewal information, assess underwriting challenges, and gather data from insured clients.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients, carriers, and within the agency.
  • Issue insurance certificates and prepare documents such as letters, proposals, and memos.
  • Record all activities, discussions, and coverage issues electronically.
  • Assist other Account Managers as necessary and manage mail distribution and responses.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including the code of conduct and attendance expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of experience in an agency environment.
  • Property and Casualty License is required; CISR designation is advantageous.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, coverage, and technology to fulfill continuing education requirements.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, email, and data entry.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Accurate with basic mathematics, including decimals and fractions.
  • Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Able to interact effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in Commercial Insurance, Commercial Lines, Account Management, Underwriting, Brokerage, or related fields is beneficial.
