Postdoctoral Researcher in Just Environments

We are seeking a highly qualified postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Geography, Environment and Society at the University of Minnesota. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with exciting programs across the university, including the Institute on the Environment, the Race, Indigeneity, Disability, Gender, and Sexuality Initiative, the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs, and the Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Global Change.
About the PositionThe postdoctoral researcher will be part of a vibrant community of scholars who are committed to advancing knowledge and understanding of just environments. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of faculty members and researchers, and to contribute to the intellectual life of the department and university.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in the area of just environments, with a focus on the nexus of society, environment, and justice.
- Engage with faculty members and researchers across the university to advance knowledge and understanding of just environments.
- Participate in department activities, including attending department meetings and symposia, and contributing to positive faculty and student relationships.
- Build connections across the university that advance the researcher's work and benefit other faculty members, researchers, students, and communities served by the university.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Geography or a closely related field, and a strong background in the social sciences, humanities, or environmental studies. The candidate should have expertise in the area of just environments, and a strong research agenda that aligns with the department's goals and priorities.
