Tire Discounters is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dealership Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dealership. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the profitability of the dealership by overseeing the various departments, including sales, service, and parts.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Plan, motivate, and coordinate the dealership's management through leadership and solid business practices.
• Develop and implement short and long-term goals and objectives annually, and submit time projections to corporate management for approval.
• Effectively communicate with leadership and relevant stakeholders on a weekly basis to review departmental forecasts and ensure consistency with annual projections.
• Pay close attention to daily operations, recommend, and create improved courses of action where necessary.
• Explain and enforce the policies and procedures of the dealership to all employees and follow up with employees to ensure that these issues are understood and followed.
• Provide dealership management with weekly reports on the financial condition of the dealership.
• Oversee the monthly financial statement to ensure it is complete, accurate, and submitted on time to the management/dealership owners.
• Coordinate with the business/administrative office to ensure that records and analyses are correctly maintained.
• Create and maintain good working relationships with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel.
• Coordinate regular meetings with the managers of each department to ensure their profitability and efficiency.
• Hire all management positions, completing performance evaluations regularly and develop short and long-term goals for each department manager.
• Maintain an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale.
• Create cost-effective advertising programs and merchandising strategies for the dealership.
• Focus on any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify and take the necessary steps to resolve these complaints.
**Requirements**
• Strong business maturity, professionalism, interpersonal, management leadership, analytical, and relationship building skills.
• Strong demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand profit and loss statements.
• Demonstrated track record of managing a large, diverse staff.
• Skilled and experienced in communications processes and tools.
• Articulate, with strong skills in written and oral communication.
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
• A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or retail sales is preferred.
• State-specific Motor Vehicle Salesperson License.
• A strong background in business, mathematics, and computers.
• At least seven years of dealership sales, and five years in a supervisory position.
• Experience in other dealership departments is a plus.
• Valid Drivers License.
