Your Role

As a Referral Coordinator, you will play a critical role in facilitating referrals for home care services, ensuring prior authorizations are submitted appropriately and timely, and maintaining department reports and supplies. You will also be responsible for scheduling diagnostic procedures and Holter monitors with our Radiology department.

Responsibilities

  • Send and receive referrals electronically and via facsimile machine
  • Telephones or faxes clinical information to third party payers and health care agencies
  • Facilitate referrals for home care services
  • Ensure prior authorizations are submitted appropriately and timely
  • Maintain department reports and supplies
  • Schedule diagnostic procedures and Holter monitors with Radiology
  • Process stat and durable medical equipment (DME) referrals

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (2) years of administrative experience
  • Knowledge of Allscripts, Availity, RadMD, Humana Military, Evicore, Capital Health PlanSM (CHP), and AIM Specialty Health (AIM) insurance provider websites
  • Good attention to detail
