Advanced Practice Provider, APP

Orlando Health Cancer Institute is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our multidisciplinary team. As a top cancer care provider in Florida, we offer a comprehensive and personalized approach to patient care.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.
- Develop a diagnosis and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to formulate and implement a treatment plan.
- Perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as credentialed.
- Diagnose medical and surgical problems and prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care.
- Implement appropriate management based on laboratory results, physical assessment, and therapeutic measures.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve patient care issues to foster significant improvement in patient care and outcomes.
- Dictate and document patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Conduct or participate in multidisciplinary rounds and participate in quality initiatives to ensure consistent attainment of key quality indicators.
- Support IRB-approved clinical research/trials through various activities, including ordering diagnostic tests, prescreening patients, and documenting outcomes.
- Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing, APRN license in the state of Florida, and national advanced certification from an approved nursing specialty board.
- Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program, maintain current physician assistant licensure in the state of Florida, and maintain current BLS/healthcare certification.
