Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at TEKsystems. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rack and stack servers, network devices, and rPDU equipment, ensuring proper cable management and organization.
  • Perform general supervised deployment support for rack and MOR cabling.
  • Decommission IT equipment, including servers and network devices, under supervision, and remove DBD devices only.
  • Conduct physical audits of data center assets to ensure accurate inventory and compliance.
  • Perform basic server repair and maintenance, following documented procedures.
  • Assist in moving and racking equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Maintain data center facilities by removing debris and empty boxes, and perform hard drive shredding as needed.
  • Audit and inventory management support, including spine clean up and physical audits of drinks and stationary on campus.
  • Perform rack movement and relocation tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of data center operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
