Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Center IT Support Technician to join our team at Microsoft Corporation. As a key member of our Data Center Operations team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch IT support for our secure access workstations, laptops, servers, and conference rooms Audio/Visual equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide IT support for SAW devices, ensuring they are in a healthy state and meet Security's compliance standards.
  • Manage SAW inventory, including ordering, receiving, assigning/re-assigning, and decommissioning devices.
  • Perform Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) for SAWs damaged within the first 30 days of receipt.
  • Provide Senior Data Center Technician-level support, including performing power cycles, swapping out failed components, handling storage media, and troubleshooting.
  • Support the deployment of on-site DC physical infrastructure, including Servers, NetDevices, SANs, Windows Server OS Support, Parts/Component replacement, and physical hardware troubleshooting.
  • Assist the Data Center Inventory and Asset Management Team with shipping/receiving and inventory management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Preferred qualifications include a technical college degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience.
  • Applicable certifications, such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or Network Certifications.
  • Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment, such as pallet jacks and chassis lifts.
  • Flexibility to work non-business hours, including weekends and/or holidays.
  • Valid license to drive standard street-legal automatic transmission vehicles within your DC's local jurisdiction.
Benefits

Microsoft offers a competitive salary range of $54.76 per hour, with a different range applicable to specific work locations. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
