Job Summary

The Associate Director, Student Financial Center is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Student Financial Center. This role requires strong administrative and supervisory skills, as well as the ability to interpret and administer federal, state, and university policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight in the preparation, presentation, and implementation of short- and long-term departmental goals.
  • Interpret and administer federal, state, and university policies and procedures.
  • Supervise employees, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure effective delivery of services and customer relations, including resolving escalations.
  • Develop, report, and identify metrics to evaluate efficiencies and suggest operational changes when warranted.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 24 months of experience in administrative management, including supervision.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write clear, concise English.
  • Financial or accounting experience, including analysis, auditing, and budgeting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with students of any age in an educational setting.
  • Financial aid and/or bursar experience.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to engage in repetitive motions, communicate, and see, including color, depth perception, and clarity.

Supervision

This position supervises 5-7 staff members.
