Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls International plc. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing manufacturing processes and methods to drive efficiency and productivity in our premier HVAC manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in projects to increase plant capacity, reduce cost, improve productivity, reduce job hazards, and improve product quality.
  • Process engineering change requests, troubleshoot production problems, and assist in trouble-shooting assembly & fabrication equipment.
  • Modify work instructions and inform production line changes, optimize workstation layout, design templates and tools to enhance productivity, justify, specify, and install equipment.
  • Introduce new products, create and maintain Bill of Materials and Routings, support and lead Lean projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master of Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in HVAC.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, equipment justification, specification, and installation, ergonomic principles, and classic industrial engineering principles.
  • Machine design, presentation, teamwork, and coaching skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, and Pro-E.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and quality. The role will involve working with production associates at their workstations, as well as working on a computer/desk.
