Position Overview
The Vice President of Legal Affairs will oversee the evaluation, formulation, and modification of various legal documents. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive legal counsel regarding the operations of a significant recruitment firm.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Document Review
- Conduct thorough research, evaluation, drafting, and/or modification of a range of legal documents, including but not limited to vendor agreements, loan contracts, distressed asset documentation, amendments related to interest rate transitions, and compliance with regulatory requirements for banking products.
- Offer strategic legal advice concerning the operations of a major recruitment firm, focusing on the identification and mitigation of potential legal risks, adherence to relevant laws and regulations, and ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior legal staff; assess external legal counsel's document evaluations and performance; provide internal reviews of external legal opinions when necessary; and develop and refine the organization's legal policies and procedures.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree is mandatory.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in legal analysis and contract evaluation is essential.
- Expertise in corporate finance, technology law, commercial law, corporate governance, and real estate transactions is required.
- Must be a licensed attorney in the State of New York.
The salary is competitive and commensurate with the candidate's relevant experience, skills, education, and qualifications.
USD $110,000.00 - USD $230,000.00 /Yr.
