About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nursing Faculty Member to join our team at West Coast University. As a Clinical Instructor, Adjunct, you will play a vital role in guiding nursing students to achieve their full potential and become compassionate and skilled healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide academic support and guidance to students, serving as a role model and facilitator in the learning process.
  • Teaching and Learning: Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and the teaching/learning process, applying your skills and experience to your assigned teaching schedule.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in and contribute to assessment activities of courses/curriculum and programs, ensuring continuous improvement and quality education.
  • Classroom Materials and Syllabi: Regularly contribute to the improvement of class materials and syllabi, aligning with the university's shared governance culture.
  • Teaching Methodologies: Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to instruct students, facilitating observable evidence of student fulfillment of prescribed learning outcomes.
  • Scholarly Activities: Maintain scholarly activities, advancing our commitment to student success and healthcare excellence.
  • Professional Growth and Service: Participate in professional growth and service, aligning with university policies and priorities.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: If working with students in a clinical setting, assume complete responsibility for students, clarify clinical expectations, and ensure student safety and optimal care to patients.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Master's degree in nursing, professional nurse licensure required, and a minimum of two years of prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed.
  • Online Learning Management Systems: Working with online learning management systems to further engage the student learning process.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Compliance with state, federal, and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance, and other regulatory standards.
