Are you a skilled Aircraft Mechanic? Digital Prospectors is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to contribute to the Production Design, Verification, & Validation team (GAD5).

The Aircraft Mechanic will engage in tasks that necessitate expertise in electro-dynamic and electro-hydraulic vibration shakers, thermal and vacuum chambers, centrifuges, high-speed imaging systems, magnetic field testing, motion control apparatus, and various environmental testing devices with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and testing protocols for the management and evaluation of inertial equipment within the laboratory.
  • Assist in the logistics of shipping, receiving, tracking, and inspecting guidance systems.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of all logistics activities related to guidance systems.
  • Conduct data collection using portable vibration control systems, data acquisition tools, and digital recording devices in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive test logs and document data during operational tests.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Oversee personnel and contractors as necessary.
  • Support the repair of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical test equipment.
  • Uphold the organization and cleanliness of the laboratory environment.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of a two-year technical program with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in configuring and operating Unholtz-Dickie Apex vibration controllers and Precision Filters products with guidance from technical staff.
  • Ability to configure and operate Acutronic controller products with assistance from technical personnel.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with tools such as torque wrenches.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment while working on team-operated testing equipment.
  • Ability to complete assignments punctually with limited oversight.
  • Competence in documenting work consistently with unit policies, either by hand or using standard software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Knowledge of vibration, shock, acoustic, pressure, linear and angular acceleration, and thermal theory is advantageous.
  • Possession of key certifications to support facility operations (e.g., Facility Casualty certified, Crane certified, ESD certified).

Security Clearance:
Due to the nature of the work, an active Secret government security clearance is mandatory.

Citizenship Requirement:
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens as the laboratory operates as a cleared facility.

Background Check:
A post-offer background check is required.
