Compensation and Benefits

Public Prep offers a competitive salary based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity, with a salary range of $67,000-$89,898. We recognize the importance of quality benefits for our employees and their families, providing a comprehensive rewards package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, wellness benefits, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, commuter benefits, referral bonuses, professional development opportunities, student loan repayment assistance, homeownership programs, and a 403(b) plan with a 5% employer match. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Master's degree in English, History, or a related field preferred.
  • New York State Certification for relevant grades and content area or progress towards reciprocity from other states.
  • A minimum of 2 years of successful experience as a full-time middle school educator.
  • Proven success in a high-performing urban educational setting preferred.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence through ongoing learning and data analysis.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Commitment to single-sex education.
  • Conversational or fluent Spanish is a plus, but not required.
  • A strong work ethic and a sense of humor.
