Key Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer:

  • Design and evaluate comprehensive system architectures.
  • Develop, manage, and uphold detailed system design documentation.
  • Integrate subsystems and components to create a unified system.
  • Formulate and implement detailed testing plans and procedures to guarantee system performance and safety.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Effectively manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and hardware engineers.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and modifications.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Engage with clients to comprehend their requirements and provide technical assistance.
  • Convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in software development and at least 3-4 years in a software architecture capacity.
  • Extensive background in software design, development, and architecture.
  • Experience with architectural patterns, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, microservices, SOA).
  • Demonstrated experience in integrating software components and systems.
  • Experience in assessing and selecting suitable technologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive architectural blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to present complex technical information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and software development frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, monolithic, SOA).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees are advantageous.

Candidates must be United States citizens and able to work in a hybrid setting.
