Key Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer:
- Design and evaluate comprehensive system architectures.
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed system design documentation.
- Integrate various subsystems and components to create a unified system.
- Formulate and implement thorough testing plans and procedures to validate system performance and safety.
- Conduct system testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
- Effectively manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and hardware engineers.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and modifications.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical assistance.
- Translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3-4 years in a software architecture capacity.
- Extensive background in software design, development, and architecture.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, microservices, SOA).
- Demonstrated experience in integrating software components and systems.
- Experience in assessing and selecting suitable technologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Ability to create detailed architectural blueprints and technical documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information clearly to stakeholders.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and software development frameworks.
- Solid understanding of software architecture patterns (e.g., microservices, monolithic, SOA).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced degrees are advantageous.
Candidates must be United States citizens and able to work in a hybrid environment.
