Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Coaching: Deliver one-on-one financial coaching and guidance to clients, focusing on income growth, credit, debt, savings, and long-term asset building.
  • Goal Setting: Collaborate with clients to establish financial goals and develop actionable steps to achieve those goals.
  • Resource Referrals: Provide referrals to connect clients with resources and services that can aid them in achieving their financial goals.
  • Program Support: Support the Program Director with grants, reporting, administrative tasks, and program participation.
  • Workshops and Training: Lead and promote financial empowerment workshops, seminars, and events, fostering relationships with community partners and IBA staff.
  • Data Management: Identify trends, action plans, referrals, and follow-up, and maintain accurate and confidential client information and progress data.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Science, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Two or more years of direct experience providing instruction and coaching in community-based organizations, particularly in the area of financial coaching.
  • Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of personal finance concepts and coaching, bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
