Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer II to join our team. As a key member of our echocardiography lab, you will be responsible for performing advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, analyzing patient data, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure accurate diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for procedures, obtain clinical history, and adapt imaging techniques to obtain comprehensive and diagnostic echocardiograms.
- Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, making necessary measurements and correlating invasive and non-invasive cardiac diagnostic test results with cardiac anatomy and function.
- Assist physicians in procedure rooms and operating rooms by performing echocardiograph studies to aid in complex procedures.
- Record statistics, perform daily maintenance of the Echocardiography Lab, and report malfunctions as needed.
- Work closely with cardiac sonographer quality coordinator to ensure adherence to quality processes and protocols.
- Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
