Vascular Sonographer

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting non-invasive vascular exams, including venous and arterial duplex exams, carotid duplex exams, and visceral duplex exams.
Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound imaging and identify anomalies to assist primary care providers with diagnosing patients.
- Obtain and review patient history and clinical data to facilitate optimal diagnostic results.
- Maintain sonographic and other equipment in efficient operating order.
- Assist physicians or licensed providers with procedures and examinations.
- Complete billing and coding information for performed procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent with Registered Diagnostic Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification within one year of hire.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification within one year of hire.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Registered Vascular Technologist certification, and clinical experience in Vascular Sonography.
