Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Community Lending Processor to join our team at Rhode Island Housing. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing loans and other records related to our Community Lending Programs, ensuring compliance and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process loan applications to determine eligibility and explain program guidelines for Access Independence II and the Clean Water Program.
  • Review application documentation, prepare loan estimates and disclosures, and obtain credit reports to ensure applicant meets all program requirements.
  • Prepare loan set up packages for servicing and purchase of each loan after disbursement on the Integra System.
  • Inform the general public of the guidelines and procedures associated with Community Lending Programs, and attend trade shows and industry events as directed.
  • Work closely with the Manager on special projects.
Requirements
  • Two years of residential mortgage loan processing and closing experience and exposure to mortgage servicing functions.
  • Working knowledge of FNM and HUD loan programs.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
  • Associate's degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field.
  • Bilingual ability preferred (particularly Spanish or Portuguese).
