The Opportunity

This role is designed for remote work, with candidates expected to reside in the Kansas City, MO area. The position involves travel of up to 50%.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary representative of Abbott and the Abbott Diagnostics Division (ADD) to clients, focusing on enhancing economic profitability and customer loyalty.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to existing clients, fostering relationships and ensuring retention.
  • Deliver first-line support and technical troubleshooting, escalating complex issues as necessary.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of the quality management system.

Performance Metrics

  • Retention Rate: Monitor instrument performance and conduct business reviews with clients.
  • Revenue Generation: Drive service sales and promote product offerings.
  • Value Creation: Manage pricing and lifecycle of products, ensuring optimal service costs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience in laboratory instrumentation or field service.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

Preferred:

  • Experience as a Biomedical or Medical Technician.
