Medical Assistant Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinic team. You will be responsible for supporting our nurses and medical providers while creating a welcoming environment for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vital Signs Measurement: Measure and record client vital signs accurately, ensuring reliable data for healthcare professionals.
  • Medication Authorization: Process prior authorizations for medications, collaborating with healthcare providers to facilitate timely access to necessary treatments.
  • Client Support: Provide prompt responses to client telephone calls and messages, demonstrating exceptional customer service and empathy.
  • Additional Support: Offer supplementary support to the Outpatient Division Medication Clinic as needed, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide seamless care.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, Associate degree preferred.
  • Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certification a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in electronic health records (EHRs), accurate computer entries, and excellent computer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish a plus.
