Position Overview:

The Sourcing and Procurement Analyst will collaborate with all members of the supply chain team to guarantee that components are received from suppliers as needed for production, machine maintenance, and manufacturing materials, accompanied by the necessary documentation to ensure a seamless production process. This role will oversee Outside Service Vendors (OSV) and consult with the Technical Procurement Manager as required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and schedule shipments of components with Outside Process Vendors (such as Heat Treat, Plating, Grinding, Paint, Gear Cutting, and other related services), working closely with the Technical Procurement Manager and Head of Operations to manage timelines and processes for critical components.

2. Maintain and ensure accurate data management within Tri Tool's ERP system.

3. Oversee, assign, and manage the requisition log to ensure timely procurement of necessary supplies.

4. Procure fabricated components.

5. Manage all facets of relationships with assigned suppliers, including cost, lead times, terms, invoicing, and supply chain flow.

6. Collaborate with engineers to explore potential sourcing options, arrange supplier meetings, procure components, and establish vendor relationships.

7. Coordinate project and service requirements, consulting with the Technical Procurement Manager when necessary.

8. Document procedures and work instructions as directed by the Technical Procurement Manager.

9. Identify, qualify, and develop new OSV suppliers.

  • Deliver and retrieve necessary components as required.
  • Assist with annual inventory assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Purchasing and/or Supply Chain Management.
  • Knowledge of raw material selection is preferred.
  • Highly organized with demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Experience in lean and continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented, and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with ERP purchasing, materials, and supply chain functions.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, self-motivated, and results-driven.
  • Ability to adhere to existing processes while quickly adapting to new procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and ethical standards to articulate, enforce, and comply with policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with sound decision-making skills.
  • Team-oriented with a strong customer focus and the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Capable of effectively managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and suggest improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Supply Chain Management.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED; a college degree in a related field is highly preferred.

Certificates or Licenses:

Depending on local, state, and/or contract requirements, a valid Driver's License may be necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be capable of performing the following physical demands for extended periods, with or without accommodations:
  • Mobility within warehouse and production areas.
  • Bending and stooping.
  • Lifting and moving items weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Viewing computer monitors.
  • Utilizing a keyboard.
  • Making and receiving phone calls.

Work Environment:

Work is conducted in both an office and a manufacturing/warehouse setting, with potential exposure to equipment noise.
