Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement opening procedures, including product reception, invoice verification, and temperature logging.
  • Comprehend the operational framework and principles of the establishment.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef to uphold the highest culinary standards.
  • Oversee time management for kitchen staff, including breaks and labor scheduling.
  • Assist in budgeting and inventory management, including food and dry goods counts.
  • Enforce hygiene and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with FIFO guidelines and proper labeling procedures.
  • Manage order scheduling and adjust reservation orders as necessary to address supply chain challenges.
  • Ensure that food preparation meets company standards, conducting quality control checks and recipe adjustments as needed.
  • Train new kitchen staff on their designated stations and be available to cover any station as required.
  • Expedite food orders during service to manage ticket times and maintain communication with the front of house team.
  • Oversee closing procedures, including equipment breakdown, invoicing, and employee checkouts.
  • Effectively implement new menu rollouts and educate team members accordingly.
  • Promote safe work practices and maintain safety standards within the kitchen.
  • Prepare necessary food and station setups prior to scheduled events.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate use of kitchen supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct inventory assessments and place orders as required.
Qualifications:
  • Culinary degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to two years of management experience in an upscale or lifestyle brand environment.
  • Ability to excel in a high-pressure kitchen setting.
  • Skill in precision plating and coaching team members to meet company standards.
  • Passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
