Laboratory Supervisor Embryology

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor Embryology to oversee the daily operations of the Embryology and Andrology labs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in the laboratory, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the Embryology and Andrology labs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and laboratory policies.
- Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with the Lab Director and other department leaders to develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to laboratory staff on new procedures and technologies.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical or Biological Science.
- NYS Department of Education Clinical Licensed Technologist (CLT) certification required within 3 years of being employed.
- General knowledge of operation of web-based QC platforms, electronic medical records, and document control platforms.
- Rigorous QA and QC regarding handling of specimens and extreme care and caution in labeling and handling specimens.
The Laboratory Supervisor Embryology will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, with frequent exposure to chemicals, biological agents, and other hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
